Cloud Expert Directory Software

Most frequently asked questions about our Cloud Expert Directory Software

Features and General

We focus on one thing, outstanding experts directories with a stellar internal search function.

Our industry leading search engine sets us apart and is at the heart of our faculty expert directories. It features a Google-like search experience that ensures the directory is widely used both externally and internally.

Our directories help universities and colleges promote faculty and researchers to industry partners, the media, and potential graduate students. As well it becomes a go-to collaboration finder tool within a university or an organization.

Search as you do with Google. Our directory’s search engine allows users to search by any expertise, name of a person, faculty name, department name, campus name, or institute name.

Our search engine uses Solr, which is built on the open-source Apache Lucene. “Solr powers the search and navigation features of many of the world’s largest internet sites.” (lucene.apache.org/solr).

The search function is equipped with autocomplete, autosuggestion, spelling suggestions, acronyms recognition, and related terms. For example, if a query does not yield a result, suggestions are based on perceived correct spelling, related terms or the title of the department, faculty, campus and/or institute. You can also filter search results by faculty or department.

Yes, it does. The directory is fully responsive, therefore it automatically adjusts to all desktop, smartphone and tablet screens. It works with all modern browsers and operating systems.

We seamlessly connect profiles across multiple departments, faculties, campuses and research institutes. You can list and search faculty the way your university works including cross-appointments.
